The Real Mozart (don't look at the title of the next blog)

Josie was taking care of William and wanted to practice her piano also, so this is what she did. He loved pounding out the tunes.

Mozart

These are some pictures that my sister took of Anna, Josie and myself at her house the other day. I think they turned out very good. Thanks Beckie!

Busy Week

This is the worst week of all the weeks in the month. Although it wasn't as bad as it could have been because the kids had Monday off and Today (Wednesday) they have a half day. Monday Lyle woke-up and decided to work on his garage. We spent all day cleaning it out and putting new lights up. The kids enjoyed it because they got to ride their bikes all day. Yesterday I had to go to Josie and Jared's school for a PTO meeting (I am the secretary). On the way home I dropped Jared off at Piano lessons. This started the whole dropping off and picking up kids for lessons for the next hour or so. During this time I need to get dinner, homework, showers, and scriptures done. Thank goodness Lyle came home right as I was leaving to take Josie so I was able to leave the kids home. Tonight is YM for Lyle and Austin and Achievement night for Josie. Thursday is grocery shopping and PTO meeting for Austin's school (I am the President), then we need to get home and do dinner, homework and showers. By Friday I am exhausted and ready for the weekend. Austin will be going to a Scout round-up with his cousin and Lyle will be working. I think I may try to do some scrapbook-I hope.

Austin's B-day Gift

So we might be late, but we come back REALLY GOOD! Austin's b-day was last month, but we are just getting his gift right now. As you can see we got him a guitar (I know- we are cool parents). This is what he wanted so I told him if he could wait until taxes were done and he would have to for fit all birthday money that he gets to cover some of the cost. These were all good for him. Lyle took him Monday and after they bought it Austin was informed that he would need to have his homework done, chores done, bedroom clean, piano and trumpet practice before he could get on the guitar. Let me just say that this week has been WONDERFUL for Homework, chores and practices. No reminding to get the stuff done or all night homework. Another bonus is that his piano teacher can teach him a couple of cords on the guitar. He is so exited!

William and Duke

Last night was one of those night when William did not want to go to sleep. I was over by the computer talking to Lyle and went to check on he because he was being quite. This is what I found. Duke (the dog we got on Josie's b-day) let William stay on him long enough for me to put the memory card back in the camera and take these pictures. I think these pictures would have turned out better if our carpet was not the same color as the dog.

Scriptures can also be PAINFULL

Last week we were about to start scriptures when Jared told me that his nose was bleeding. Jared always gets bloody noses so I told him to get a tissue and I would be there in just a minute. When I got upstairs he was holding the tissue over the top of his nose. Apparently, one of the boys that I was watching had hit Jared (by accident) with his scriptures when he was swinging them around. Luckily this is all the damage. Jared has not complained once. P.S. he thought I was taking a picture of his missing tooth.

Scriptures can be so exhausting

We were doing scripture study last night and Anna was so tired she just feel asleep. The funny thing was she slept through FHE also. I thought she would wake up when all the kids got up for the best part of FHE (the dessert), but Lyle ended up taking her to her bed. Not before I got the picture...
