Camping was the first thing that we did when we got to Michigan. This is Jared killing the "KING Fungous". Austin playing with sparklers. All the kids on a 4 wheeler that they got to ride on, and Josie and my niece with there matching hair.
We had a good time and loved the cooler weather. Nights were beautiful but we found out soon enough that Michigan mosquitoes LOVE thin AZ blood. They could not get enough of us. BTW don't waste you money on the Off clip-on bug repellent.
This blog is made to keep family and friends up to date on the Barnes family life and sometimes a personal journal for me.

First Hair Cut
So Lyle got a new calling this Sunday. He is the 2nd Counselor in the Bishopric. He was in need of a hair cut and insisted that William get one too. So we took both of them on Saturday to get this done. William did really well and let the girl cut his hair with out crying. After

As you can see there is not much change between the before and after picture. There was not even enough hair for me to keep.

My baby's One!
So my baby turned 1 while we were on our trip, but we waited to celebrate until we got home so that Lyle could join us. This is was is left of his Madagascar cake. It was so good he needed his hair to try it also. I had to scrub the tub after his bath. Thanks to my Sister-in-laws mothers house we found out that William really liked the little car, so Lyle picked one up for him and had it ready when we got there.

Georgia City Pass
So this summer I decided to take the kids on a long road trip to visit my sisters in Michigan and my brother in Georgia. While doing research on local attractions I found a website
http://www.citypass.com/. If you are visiting Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Hollywood, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California, or Toronto check out this website. I payed $ 69.00 for adults and $ 49.00 for kids to visit: the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Zoo Atlanta, Inside CNN Studio Tour, Fernbank Museum of Natural History, and Atlanta History Center. This is a great price as the Aquarium is almost $ 30.00 and the World of Coca-Cola is $ 15.00 if I was to buy them separately. This is us at the Zoo and playing in Olympic rings at the Centennial Olympic Park.
We did all the sites in 3 very full days. In the World of Coca-cola we got to see some short films about Coca-Cola and also many different Coca-Cola memorabilia. At the end of the tour we were able to taste Coca-Cola products for all over the world. AVOID the "Bethany"! The kids also got there own 6 ounce bottle of coca-cola that had be bottled on site.
